Troubleshoot Switch Mode Power Supply(SMPS)

Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) is a device converts the available unregulated ac or dc input voltage to a regulated dc output voltage. However in case of SMPS with input supply drawn from the ac mains, the input voltage is first rectified and filtered using a capacitor at the rectifier output. The unregulated dc voltage across the capacitor is then fed to a high frequency dc-to-dc converter. During project simulation,  SMPS was suddenly damaged and it cause the AC supply cut off.

Then, troubleshoot it by testing using multimeter to measure the output value, 12VDC. The result was SMPS functioning well. There's no problem with the circuit and operate to convert from AC supply to DC supply.
